We're Cousins
About Me
There's two of us and we're both left-handed Rachel's. We were both born in April and coincidentally both landed in Peoria, Illinois the summer of 2009. There's a Heinz ketchup factory outside her home town and mine. Both of our dog's have inflamed anal glands. The point is, we're cousins.

Hi. I’m Rachel…

…and I’m an overwhelmed perfectionist.

Day 12, the best advice I’ve ever heard or been given.

“Just act cool, Rachel. That’s all you gotta do.”

Honestly, I do not know what the best advice I’ve ever heard is.

Day11/365, the worst advice I’ve ever heard or been given.

It’ll all work out in the end.

Okay, that might not be the worst advice I’ve ever heard, but I kind of think it’s a big load of bullshit. No, not everything works out in the end. You have to be proactive and make sure everything will work out in the end. People think their problems will get solved if they just leave it be. Yes, this happens. No, it doesn’t happen all of the time. There are problems that need to be solved, things that need to be done, quarrels that need to be dealt with.

People (Tom) relay this message to other people (me) to calm them down when they are freaking out over something. And it does work to put things in perspective. Not everything is worth melting down about. But it still isn’t entirely true, nor does it happen frequently. Problems are meant to be solved, not ignored.

For the first time in high school…

I’m wearing a boy’s football jersey.  Hoo-rah :)
